Gas Prices

What the hell!? It was $2.45 everywhere that I went by today. Actually, it was $2.459… they always gotta rape you that extra $0.009 per gallon for some reason. Why do they even bother doing that? Will they ever use something other than a 9 as that last digit? I don’t think so! I don’t even think gas stations have a set of small number signs with which to swap with the 9. But I digress. Gas prices were so crazy that I had to refrain from filling up all the way, like I usually do. I’m not sure if I did the right thing or not because maybe I’ll get lucky and the prices will come down a little… or the prices will keep going up and a couple days later, filling up will really break the bank. No one knows for sure what will happen. All I know is I got places to be.

  1. [...] So yeah, I think I must spot on average 2 or 3 of these abandoned vehicles every day on my way to work. So Sam and I decided to make a game out of it, since we were discussing both this and my thing on gambling with gas prices recently. I guess he doesn’t gamble with gas prices anymore; he just fills up when he’s low on gas. Sure, that sounds like a logical, reasonable thing to do. But don’t you want to beat the system?? While I am mentioning it, I’d like to report that I failed miserably in my prediction of gas prices when it was $2.45. I finally had to get gas on Sunday and it was like $2.50-something. I’m guessing that it’ll be about the same for a while so I just went ahead and filled up. Luckily, I’m not gambling with stocks or anything, cuz I’d be broke right now. Maybe worse, maybe I’d be standing on the ledge of a building. [...]
